The highly coveted blue check mark was once reserved for public figures, celebrities, and politicians. The company's new CEO, Elon Musk, is hoping to monetize verification as part of a much larger change in the platforms of Twitter, a blue subscription service. So now users who are already verified have 90 days to sign up before they lose their "blue checkmark.  GETTR CEO Jason Miller said: "No charge for verification or post-editing on GETTR! 🤣 From The Verge: "Twitter is planning to start charging $20 per month for verification."
