Ron DeSantis fires back at Walt Disney Company after media giant says its "goal" is the repeal of the Parental Rights in Education Act, stating, "This state is governed by the interests of the people of the state of Florida -- it is not based on the demands of California corporate executives." DeSantis while addressing the news conference said: Ron shared his displeasure over Disney’s statement on the legislation he signed a day earlier, saying his state Florida is not run by “California corporate executives.”  DeSantis said: You know we signed the parent's rights and education bill. It's interesting when like a Disney-owned ABC would put that out in one tweet. They'd say governor Desantis signs a bill to prohibit instruction in sexual identity and gender identity in some grades, Why would they say some grades?  If you're trying to inform the root, So you saw a lot of this but then fo

Their conversation was this: Lauren Boebert: Thank you so much for being here today, first of all, what is the current national debt? OMB Director Shalanda Young: The current debt is about 24 trillion. I have about 30 trillion dollars how much would each American citizen have to pay to cover that debt? That's not how debts work so we have not calculated that. Lauren Boebert: To cover our current 30 trillion dollar debt, not 24 trillion  OMB Director Shalanda Young replied: And I'm sorry I have 22.3 so I'll correct myself downward since we're using different numbers um again we don't calculate the debt by a person including my recovery. Americans want Republicans in control of Congress: Poll

Photo "Donald Trump" by  Dan Scavino A new poll shows that people ot the United States want Republicans in control of Congress. NBC News polls show 46% of the registered voters want a Republican-controlled Congress for the midterms. 44% of the voters want democrats to control US Congress. It is a 2 point margin though. I was a little surprised by that what are you finding? I think that the republicans should be ahead by a lot more given the NBC polling. The Biden-Harris admin already failed to maintain the whole economy, inflation, handling of the Ukraine crisis.  Republicans haven't set a path forward, they are attacking Biden and his plans and saying things aren't going well. But right now, the American people want to hear what they (GOP) are going to do for them to make it better.  As we are going to the midterms, Republicans need to lay out a plan on what we are for. We need to be talking about: What we are going to address inflation? What are we going to do for

While addressing the news conference Jim said: I want to ask you about judiciary priorities. When it comes to Tech you mentioned 230, could you just give us some of your other big priorities, when it comes to Tech regulation and things of that nature anti-trust?  Basically, what I said earlier, I do think the consumer wants to know as quickly as possible why Big Tech (Social Media Giant Companies ie. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) might take down their posts.  We got this situation now with Twitter, they locked out The Babylon Bee for several days. Your average consumer wants to know why and when those kinds of things so. Transparency is important, the liability protection issue Section 230.   Photo credit: Gage Skidmore/CC BY-SA 2.0,  via Flickr At a news conference on Friday he signed a curriculum transparency bill, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) decried some of the books found in public school libraries. Ron held this news conference in Daytona Beach in Florida DeSantis said: Unfortunately, we have seen some books in some of these libraries I mean you're talking about kids in middle school some of the stuff that has ended up there is incredibly disturbing stuff and again as an adult, you're free to consume what you want.  We have the ability to choose what is appropriate for different age groups. Adults have access to what they want to have access to. But when you're talking about some of these kids particularly these young kids you know to have some of this really graphic stuff in there is not in the best interest of the families. And the students and so parents are going to have the ability to have their voice heard and it also sets curriculum standards in terms

Dramatic Moment: JD Vance Pauses Pennsylvania Rally When Secret Service Agent Needs Medical Help

Sen. JD Vance During a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, Senator JD Vance (R-OH) experienced a dramatic interruption when he paused his speech to address a medical emergency involving a Secret Service agent. The incident occurred as Vance was responding to questions from the press. The exchange began with a question about Vance’s role in facilitating connections between Governor Brian Kemp and the Trump campaign, and whether he had sought advice from former Vice President Mike Pence for the campaign. As Vance was addressing these questions, he suddenly halted his response and expressed concern over a Secret Service agent who appeared to be in distress. "It's so humid in here, I thought we lost one of our Secret Service agents," Vance said, visibly concerned. He then reassured the crowd that the situation was under control, adding, "I was worried about him but we're good. God bless you man, glad you're okay." After ensuring the agent received t

'It's Truly Insane': Ron DeSantis Launches Brutal Attack On Kamala Harris's Economic Plan

Ron DeSantis During a press briefing in Sarasota, Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis launched a scathing critique of Vice President Kamala Harris's economic policy proposals. His remarks were part of a broader discussion that also included the announcement of “Activate Hope,” an expansion of the Hope Florida initiative to aid Floridians recovering from disasters. However, DeSantis’s sharpest comments were reserved for Harris's recent economic plans. DeSantis began by addressing the current economic challenges facing the nation, particularly the high interest rates and soaring grocery costs. He blamed these issues on the federal government's excessive borrowing, printing, and spending, which he said were exacerbated by policies that Harris had a direct hand in shaping. "The fact is the biggest issue we have to deal with is the high cost of groceries and all those things that were facilitated by the federal government borrowing, printing, and spending ungodly sums of money
