On September 5, 2016, former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton endorsed Kathy Hochul for New York Governor on social media. Clinton, who served the Empire States as a senator from 2001 to 2009, praised the incumbent governor and urged voters to keep her in Albany for the full term. Hochul Rose took power following the resignation of Andrew Cuomo last year. While she began her campaign with a strong lead on Republican Lee Zeldin's reasons, polls have shown the GOP challenger closing the gap. Hochule's faltering prospects are due to voters' concerns about crime and public safety. And a debate remark about locking up criminals has dogged Hochul. Twitter to charge $20 per month for blue tick verification badge: Reports

The highly coveted blue check mark was once reserved for public figures, celebrities, and politicians. The company's new CEO, Elon Musk, is hoping to monetize verification as part of a much larger change in the platforms of Twitter, a blue subscription service. So now users who are already verified have 90 days to sign up before they lose their "blue checkmark.  GETTR CEO Jason Miller said: "No charge for verification or post-editing on GETTR! 🤣 From The Verge: "Twitter is planning to start charging $20 per month for verification." Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Friday campaigned for re-election in Franklin County. The Republican Governor sounded off on a host of culture war issues. including his efforts to ban critical race theory in public schools and combat so-called gender ideology. As Governor DeSantis controversially signed parental rights and education laws, critics called it the "don't say gay" Bill. He has also fought the Disney Corporation following the media giant's open opposition to the law. He is currently polling ahead of his Democratic challenger, Charlie Crist, by double digits, and is seen as a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2024, trailing former President Donald Trump.

Fetterman, the Keystone State's Democratic candidate for Senate, had a stroke in May that he says left him with auditory processing issues. He faces a spike of negative reviews over his performance in Tuesday's debate, where he frequently paused and sometimes appeared to struggle to find the right words.  Jean-Pierre said that Biden found Fetterman to be an incredibly bright and talented person, who's just as capable as ever of carrying out the duties of his office.
