Trump family mourns the loss of Ivana Trump, Donald Trump's first wife

The Trump family is mourning the death of Ivana Trump, the ex-wife of former President Donald Trump. She was found dead inside her upper east side home. Apparently, the building staff of her brownstone here on east 64th street had not seen Ivana trump, so they went inside to check on her. They found her on the floor at apparently dead of natural causes. Indeed she lived a life of fame, and fortune, and was right in the middle of a sometimes harsh media spotlight.

They were New York's power couple of the 80s. Ivana and the Donald, as she called them. Even after the divorce and decades come by, she told CBS News in 2017 that they are still close. We speak to each other. Maybe about once a week. Ivana was seen walking here a few months ago near where she lives on the upper east side.

Ivana would become a fashion entrepreneur and appear in this famous scene in the first wives club. Be strong and independent and remember, don't get mad, get everything. There would be two more marriages after Donald Trump, but she said in the end it was all about her children. Eric Trump posted a family photo where he recalled his mother is a radiant beauty and caring mother and friend.

Her son Eric Trump spoke briefly on her Mother's death, he said:

Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and a caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion, and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children, and ten grandchildren.

I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City. She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!
