In a Senate Health Committee hearing on Tuesday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced an amendment that would eliminate Dr. Anthony Fauci's position as (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) NIAID Director.

Sen. Paul said:

This amendment would eliminate the position of Director of the National Institute of Allergic and Infectious diseases and divide the responsibilities into 3 separate directors for allergic diseases, infectious diseases, and immunologic Diseases.

Paul Continued his remarks and said, history gives us too many examples of what happens when People in power make Scientists bend to dogma. At the end of life, Galileo was under lock and key for telling a scientific truth that people in power the Government, didn't want to Hear.

Dr. Fauci and Dr. Collins were talked about taking down their political opponents having an enemies list and trying to squash opinions they disagreed With. This is not the role of someone in government, this is the role of someone who needs to be separated from the Government.

The director of this institute has been sitting in his Position for 38 years without ever being approved by the Senate. Imagine how much has changed in the world since Anthony Fauci started in his Position.

In 1984 the internet was one year old. Prince and Madonna are at the top of the music charts and Steve Jobs just released the 1st  Apple PC it weighed over 16 pounds. The one thing that's remained the same overall this time is Dr. Anthony Fauci at the head of the Most powerful institute at NIH.

The emails that have been Revealed show him to be a Petty, partisan politician who is not above taking down his scientific enemies, not above having an enemies list. This is someone who really Seriously needs to be Separated from the government.

My amendment will make sure that no one person can hold that job for generations with no accountability. It divides the need into three different institutes. One for allergic jurisdiction Diseases, one for infectious diseases, and one for the immune Logic disease this aligns.

With a current mission to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent these types of diseases. The directors of the three new Institutes would be Appointed by the President. Confirmed by the Senate and serve for five-year terms. But they can be reappointed.

“We have learned a lot over the past 2 years, but one lesson, in particular, is that no 1 person should be deemed “dictator-in-chief.” No one person should have unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans,” said Dr. Rand Paul also reported by Fox News

Sen. Rand Paul’s amendment would keep with this precedent of reorganization, and would immediately eliminate Dr. Anthony Fauci’s position and replace it with 3 new directors of the following new institutes:

  1. National Institute of Allergic Diseases
  2. National Institute of Infectious Diseases
  3. National Institute of Immunologic Diseases

Each of these 3 institutes will be led by a director who is appointed by the POTUS and confirmed by the Senate for a 5-year term.
