'I'm proud of the truckers,' says Conservative Pierre Poilievre in lambasting Canadian Prime Minister  Justin Trudeau's response to protests.

Poilievre also blames PM Trudeau for the situation, which is paralyzing critical infrastructure at the Canadian border. PM Candidate Pierre in his speech said:

“I’m proud of the truckers and I stand with them,” Poilievre said in an interview recorded on Thursday for next week’s episode of the Postmedia podcast Full Comment with Anthony Furey.

“They have reached a breaking point after two years of massive government overreach of a prime minister who insults and degrades anyone who disagrees with his heavy-handed approach.

“But let’s be honest, if Canadians are being inconvenienced, or in any way suffering from these protests, it is because Justin Trudeau made these protests happen and his intransigence is keeping the protests going,” he added.

Poilievre said it looks to him like Trudeau put a vaccine mandate on truckers “as a vindictive wedge strategy to divide Canadians and demonize an apparently unpopular minority of unvaccinated people to his own political advantage.”

“But now it’s blown up in his face,” said Poilievre.

“So he’s gotten himself into an impossible political situation. And unfortunately, the rest of the country is held hostage by his unwillingness to do the right thing, admit he was wrong, and lift these mandates.”

Earlier, Canadian Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has also launched his bid to become the next leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, with other members of Parliament already pledging their support. He is the first candidate to announce his intention to run for the conservative party’s top spot after MPs forced Erin O’Toole out of the position only three days earlier.

In a 3-minute video released on social media on Saturday night, Pierre criticizes gov. spending and says he wants to make “Canadians the freest people on earth.” In his announcement, he was saying that he wants the job as prime minister. Many Conservative leaders including Ontario MP Melissa Lantsman, Manitoba MP James Bezan, and many more supported Pierre Poilievre as a conservative candidate.

  1. I use to have some respect for this idiot. I was happy to hear he plans to run for PM. Now he thinks the PM should bow down to these domestic terrorists. I hate Trudeau as much as humanly possible but he is not the one putting mandates in place on his own, he's following expert advice. When did Poilievre become a health expert? Maybe the country would be in better shape if the politicians tried to work together for the betterment of their constituents.

AOC fired back, saying that her workers are in a union and make a living wage, and proceeds go to, quote, "community investments" like tutoring kids.   Photo credit: Gage Skidmore/CC BY-SA 2.0,  via Flickr President Biden gaffes about the "war in Iraq" causing inflation while speaking in Florida, then blames his reference to Iraq on his son Beau dying there; Beau Biden died in Walter Reed years after his service in Iraq. President Joe Biden misspoke again at a rally in South Florida on Tuesday. During his remarks, President Joe Biden accidentally said that inflation was caused by quoting the war in Iraq. The president then corrected himself and said it was Ukraine, but I didn't study was quote thinking of Iraq because that's where my son died. Biden's son Beau Biden served in Iraq from 2008 to 2009.  Biden has previously claimed that Beau died in Iraq despite the fact that he died at Walter Reed many years following his service. Biden has said he believes exposures to burn pitoxins may have contributed to the cancer that claimed beau's life. He said: “They talk about inflation… inflation is a worldwide

Trump Mocks DeSantis During Pennsylvania Rally: 'Ron DeSanctimonious'

Photo "Donald Trump" by  Dan Scavino Former US President Donald Trump mocked Ron DeSantis as "Ron DeSanctimonious" at a Latrobe rally yesterday in Pennsylvania. Watch out for his complete reaction below. Trump, while addressing his rally, said these lines: Today I have the highest poll numbers I've ever had, perhaps partly because the Democrats are so severely running our country and people want our tremendous success of no inflation, energy independence, and military victory (remember, I defeated ISIS one hundred percent). Remember Al-Baghdadi and so many other things, including crime? We had it weighed down. But we have the best poll numbers; where are they putting them up on the screen? I think you should put them up and look at them. We are winning big, big, big in the Republican Party for the nomination like nobody's ever seen before. Let's say there is Trump at 71, Ron DeSanctimonious at 10 percent, and Mike Pence at seven. Targeting forme

DeSantis Issues Warning To Doctors Performing Gender Affirming Surgery On Minors

Photo credit: Gage Skidmore/CC BY-SA 2.0,  via Flickr At a campaign event yesterday, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) slammed doctors who perform gender confirmation surgeries on minors. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continued his campaign for re-election on Wednesday, focusing on cultural and war issues. DeSantis has doubled down on his controversial stance on gender-affirming care for minors; he decried the teaching of so-called gender theory in public schools. A topic that has earned him accusations of transphobia and bigotry by many LGBTQ Americans and their allies DeSantis has celebrated his state's commitment to take doctors' medical licenses if they performed gender-firming surgeries on minors as well. The issue has become a hot topic among Republican politicians, who believe it can help them win votes among parents wary of social change. This sentence is currently leading his Democratic challenger Charlie Crist by double digits. DeSantis mentioned in his speech that:
