NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and wife Gurkiran Kaur Sidhu announce birth of baby girl. Singh posted news of the birth on social media, says child was born January 3 and that everyone is healthy and happy.

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and wife Gurkiran Kaur Sidhu announce the birth of a baby girl. Jagmeet Singh posted news of the birth on social media through his Instagram account, says the child was born Monday, January 3, 2022 and that everyone is healthy and happy. Singh wrote on his official Instagram account: 

Gurkiran and I want to let you know that we welcomed the newest addition to our family on January 3rd, 2022. Our powerful little baby girl is basically my birthday present for life lol. Momma bear and baby are healthy and our hearts are filled with gratitude.

Gurkiran also posted a photograph with her daughter and Jagmeet & said:

a feeling like no other... introducing our baby girl 💕 // jan 3rd 2022 .


In 2017, news broke that the NDP Leader (Politician) and the fashion personality were linked romantically, after the pair were pictured together at what was described as a family gathering. The pair were later married in February 2018 and celebrated their honeymoon in Mexico. In August 2021, news broke of a highly-anticipated federal election in September, the NDP leader announced that he and Gurkiran Kaur Sidhu were expecting a baby.

This is the couple’s first child. Singh has represented the federal riding of Burnaby South since 2019.
